FanView
Improving how sports fans navigate and watch multiple live broadcasts.
Overview
FanView was Fubo’s multi-game viewing experience, designed to help sports fans watch and follow multiple live games simultaneously. As the UX designer on the project, I partnered with a lead designer, product, and engineering team to bring the vision to life across TV and web platforms. My work focused on defining interaction patterns, user flows, and scalable UI solutions that balanced user needs, technical constraints, and evolving product requirements. At the time, Fubo had not yet established a formal design system, requiring us to establish many of the foundational patterns used throughout the experience.

Focus Areas
01. Designing a Multi-Game Experience Without Overwhelming Users
FanView needed to let users follow multiple live games at once without overwhelming them or disrupting live viewing. The experience had to balance dense sports data, real-time updates, and simple interactions—while staying performant across platforms and without the support of an existing design system.
02. Creating an Intuitive Framework for Multi-Game Viewing
To simplify a complex viewing experience, we focused on establishing clear information hierarchy, predictable navigation patterns, and scalable layouts that could adapt to different sports and viewing scenarios. I partnered closely with product and engineering to define interaction flows, explore multiple layout models, and refine the presentation of live games, scores, and contextual data. The result was a flexible framework that allowed fans to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed by information.
03. Delivering a More Engaging Sports Viewing Experience
FanView introduced a new way for viewers to engage with live sports by bringing multiple games, scores, and statistics together in a single experience. The project established foundational interaction patterns for interactive sports viewing at Fubo and demonstrated how live sports experiences could evolve beyond traditional single-game broadcasts. The work also helped define reusable design patterns that influenced future sports-focused initiatives across the platform.
